Where to stay in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia?

When we planed to go to Malaysia for a month, we knew nothing about the country, except that the capital is Kuala Lumpur (KL). So we ordered a travel guide for Malaysia, Singapore and Brunei from Lonely planet, but a few days before we were supposed to depart, we still hadn’t received the guide. We decided to book an apartment only for the first 4 days in KL and after some quick resеаrch in booking.com and Airbnb  we found the best property.

Let me introduce you The face.

We were a little bite skeptical when we saw the beautiful photos and the affordable price. It was a brand new property, that’s why there weren’t enough reviews in Airbnb. But when we arrived we understood that this is the right choice.

Getting there

From the airport we took the KLIA ekspres to KL Sentral which takes about 30 minutes and from KL Sentral we took a train and 15 minutes later we were in front of the building.

When we departed after 4 days, we took a taxi for almost the same price or cheaper if you are more than two passengers. But make sure that you have enough time, because the journey can take you more than 2 hours depending on the traffic.

Perfect location

Within walking distance to Petronas Twin Towers  and KL Tower. Very close to Quill City Mall , local restaurants and night entertainment such as  Hard Rock Café.

The building

Modern design, a beautiful and spacious lobby and the best part – the amazing infinity pool. The view of the city from the pool deck on the 51st floor is just breath taking. If you stay here you won’t need to go to the Heli Bar or Petronas Towers to get a view of the city.

Easy access by self-Check-in guide that we received from the owner after making the reservation.

The apartment

We booked an apartment with one bedroom and a huge living room with kitchen. It was well furnished with everything you need, including a washing machine. The high ceilings and windows made us feel comfortable day and night. The owner had even thought of small things such as umbrellas, flip flops for the swimming pool, city guides and magazines, some snacks and table water. There was high speed wi-fi, so it was possible to make streaming.

Interesting fact

The building has 51 floors. But there aren’t 4th, 14th, 24th, 34th and 44th floors. The reason is that the Chinese who built it, believed that number 4 brings you very bad luck, because the Chinese word of 4 (four) sounds the same as the Chinese word for death.
